About Me
- Name: Patrick
- Location: Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom
I'm an Engineer working in Tyne and Wear, having moved from Belfast 3 years ago. Before the move I had never lived away from home and have had to work alot of things out for myself. I'm a big fan of Ice Hockey, in particular my team the Belfast Giants who I travel to see all over the UK. I also have a beautiful fiancee Victoria with whom I live in Gateshead. I also publish a weekly Ice Hockey Podcast with my friend Aaron, available on iTunes called A View From The Bridge

Moose Day 1
We got picked up by the Moose tour bus at about 9.30 and made our way to a look out over Vancouver where we met every one involved and paid for all trips, east and west side. We seem to have a great group. 4 Japanise girls, 3 Aussies, 2 Welsh and an Irish girl. There was great craic meetin and chattin with each other.
The group
We stopped for food ($10 worth) and drink ($65 worth :)) before heading on up the road for a picnic and a quick hike at a place called Shannon Falls. The scenery is amazing, mountain ranges, trees, lakes, snow capped peaks. We saw a couple of waterfalls and some spectacular views. See the photo gallery.

The tour bus is comfortable and the tour guide Caroline is great craic. The whole bunch is great fun.. all up for a bbit of craic and drinking. compared to another group Caroline was telling us about, we really seem to have fallen on our feet.
Alice Lake was our next stop, we jumped in for a swim, and water pistols were produced, the beer cooler was brought down and we enjoied a few beers in the sun.
We arrived in Whistler and got some groceries for our dinner. The group over the course of the trip will take it in turns to make a group meal. Tonight Angelo from Australia was the man to take charge of the BBQ, it is the national passtime after all. We all sat on the balcony of our beautiful hostel and got to know each other, before going in and having our meal of BBQ burgers.

More and more Molson and Labatts was consumed and we all headed out to Moe Joes bar in the toen for a few games of pool, table footbal and more beer. I may have got a bit drunk....
